OGMORE
PROSECUTION
Nick
Bridger of Bryncoch, Neath
has pleaded guilty to fishing the river Ogmore on the
7th May 2008, without a rod licence and without the permission of the Ogmore Angling Association. He was fined £50 for Section 27
(a)of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 for
no rod licence, £50 for Schedule 1 (2)(2) of the Theft Act 1968, fishing
without permission. He was also ordered to pay £75 costs plus the mandatory £15
victim support.
EWENNY
POLLUTION
Up to
20,000 litres of diesel escaped into the Ewenny river on Wednesday 22nd
October. A clean up operation was immediately launched with reports of dead
fish and affected wildfowl. The Environment Agency traced the source of the
pollution.
