Historically, when we learned to fish, to gain experience and knowledge, we read books, accompanied more experienced anglers or learnt by our mistakes and trial and error. That's no longer the case and is demonstrated by the fact that you're reading this page!
The internet has brought information to the masses and Fishing has a vast presence on the World Wide Web! Yes, we still buy the magazines and books, but some of the information contained in them is often out of date and not really what we're after.
To fill that gap, enterprising and like minded anglers have created a number of useful forums that are free to use and welcome new and experienced anglers with open arms.

The local Forum for all things seatrout. A much younger forum than The Seatrout Fishing Forum, however, it contains some excellent resources for the Seatrout Angler including discussions, tips, fly tying and flies. It has an excellent and up to the minute River Reports thread which contains a highly active thread on our very own River Ogmore!
It also contains some excellent advice should you wish to give other South and West Wales rivers such as the Neath, Tawe and Towy a go. Check out the Forum and get involved! |

Mainly about Fishing for Salmon on the various Rivers in Scotland. However, the forum contains excellent advice from many contributors who have a wealth of experience having fished many Rivers throughout Europe and places farther afield.

Hosted by none other than the 1990 fly fishing world champion Jan Siman of the Czech National Team, the forum offers a wealth of experience concerning this technique.
The fly tying sections are superb. Offering tips and step by step tying sequences for czech nymphs and many more flies.
